Serving as a sequel to the 2020 film Enola Holmes, it is written by Jack Thorne and directed by Harry Bradbeer. The film stars Millie Bobby Brown, reprising her role as Enola Holmes and Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, with Louis Partridge, Adeel Akhtar, Susie Wokoma, and Helena Bonham Carter also reprising their supporting roles, while Sharon Duncan-Brewster, David Thewlis, and Hannah Dodd are added as new cast members.
Enola Holmes 2 is slated to be released on November 4, 2022 by Netflix.

Production
In September 2020, co-producer and star Millie Bobby Brown and director Harry Bradbeer acknowledged their intentions to develop a sequel to Enola Holmes. Brown said she thought only about making the first film until she was on set, then she loved playing the character and said it would be a dream to do it again.
In April 2021, a sequel was confirmed to be in development, with Brown and Cavill reprising their roles as Enola Holmes and Sherlock Holmes. Sam Claflin was unable to return as Mycroft Holmes due to scheduling conflicts, much to the sadness of Bradbeer and the crew, though Mycroft's absence allowed them to concentrate on Sherlock much more. +more In May 2021, the project was officially confirmed by Netflix. Brown was reportedly paid $10 million for her role.
Production and filming began in Autumn 2021. Scenes were filmed in Hull in October 2021.
Cavill wrapped filming in November 2021. Filming concluded on January 7, 2022.
