As you can tell from the time I spend here, I enjoy this platform. A lot. The democratization of information exchange is a huge net positive for all of us, and an enormous number of important conversations happen right here on X. In reading some comments and replies people often ask me why I’m not responding to ________, fill in the blank. It’s a great question. I addressed a portion of this in one of my shows this week using the Kevin O’Leary “signal” versus “noise” segment. Social platforms create an asymmetrical tactical advantage for creators of “noise.” Bullshit is free, and there is a market for it. The noise-creators have a multitude of reasons for creating the noise. The bottom line is, you MUST trust your audience. Explain when you can, but, as I’ve said, don’t over explain because your audience is smart. They will sift through the bullshit, and they don’t need a manifesto every day. The bullshitters don’t care about the truth, so responding to it serves no purpose there either. It was great to be back with you this week and to be back here engaging. Thanks for everything. -
