Dopamine or the feel-good hormone is the hormone responsible for the sense of pleasure and satisfaction we feel , it is released as a reward in our body after we do something we like .
We tend to procrastinate when we feel that other activities like scrolling social media , playing games etc. are more rewarding as we feel good after we indulge in these activities.This is because of the dopamine released in our body.
It is human nature to get attracted to easier tasks in which we don't have to put labour on our body . That is why our brain likes lying on couch and scrolling the mobile rather than sitting on the desk and revise our notes.
